Nicki Venable

for Whitley County Commissioner

My husband Michael Venable and I have 3 children, Avery, Aidan, and Nicholas.  I graduated from Carroll High School in 1990 and my husband graduated from Whitko High School in 1990. In addition to having a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology, I have a Master’s Degree in Business, certified Gallup Global Strength Coach, and an ICF certification in Leadership Coaching.  I have experience in public safety:  Working as an officer and at the county level in Community Corrections (began at a ground-level position and worked up to an Executive-Level position).  I have served others as a public servant for over 25 years in both county government and in a municipality.
My husband and I have been married for over 17 years.  We started our family in 2006 and it was during the time raising our family that I obtained my Master’s Degree in Business.  I currently have the unique opportunity to work strategically with local government departments with a focus on:

  • Organizational Change
  • Federal Compliance
  • Managing grants and working with legislators
  • Leadership development, etc.

I am currently a department of one serving over 2000+ employees, I am a Board Member of Mission 25 here in Whitley County, the vice-president of the Whitley County Republican Women’s Club, and volunteer in several other capacities within Whitley County.  As a public servant, I will have established office hours and no one will work harder for you than I will!

My family’s home lives and plays in this community, our children go to school in this community, our Church is in this community, and my family loves this community!

With all that being said, I do value your vote; I look forward to serving you in a professional and respectful manner!
